Mega Man 11's announcement felt like both an acknowledgment of Mega Man's lack of love from Capcom over the years as well as a response to the failure of Mighty No. For the Challenges I put a special challenge on me to defeat the bosses with only the Mega Buster which makes the challenge cooler.Ĩh 57m PlayedI love this franchise so much. Special Modes Aside the basic gameplay of 8 bosses and Wily stages, Megaman 11 presents some special Challenges and ranking. Since Megaman is a game that is very fun on its replayability, for sure I would start again but on Normal mode. Normal has some slightly increase on Level Difficulty, like adding a new enemy on a special spot that, for sure, the level designer choose carefully to remove one life from you. Boss's difficulty are the same on Normal and Casual and the only one that is really hard is the Yellow Devil from Dr Wily Stage 1 due to, again, having to memorize a pattern from its disassembly mechanic. Normal x Casual To be honest, "Casual" seems to be the easy one but actually it has an Easy mode, since I didnt wanted to spent too much time memorizing all hazards in the levels, I played on casual where the most difference is that on your first play you have more lives (x5 instead of x2) and also that you have more checkpoints in the levels. Anyway, since it is a game from a classic series, its okay to have those kind of things that, eventually, you look on internet and voi'la. "This item will only appears on shop on Saturdays" or "this balloon mechanic works by holding the button, you dont need to press it in the exactly right time". But on this game somethings felt that they could have been explained. Issues Some stuff are hidden from you, we are used to secrets on old games. Making Level Design abuse from its mechanic, where on the first play you will probably still learning how to do it and etc, that is where the Casual mode enters. The Double Gear system is where lies a new increase in difficulty, since it is a resource that is recharges, the devs made it clear that you should use it wherever it is needed. Gameplay The gameplay itself is a polished version of the classic game, you have the Sliding, the Rush Jump and the added Double Gear mechanic that allows you to make stronger attacks and slow time.
Compared to Megaman X series, the classic Megaman has a increased difficulty, mainly on the first playthrough due to how the Level Designs are meant to make you die many times to it.
